The Office for Faculty Affairs (OFA) is committed to supporting and advancing the academic careers of our faculty, which includes educators, clinicians, scientists, researchers, and practitioners across five academic departments.
In close collaboration with the Harvard Medical School (HMS) Office for Faculty Affairs, our internal office serves as a liaison between various entities. We work alongside the Dean, department chairs, and the Committee for Appointment, Reappointment, and Promotion (CARP) to facilitate the appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure processes for our faculty members and academic appointees. Additionally, we provide centralized support and resources to enhance faculty professional development and engagement at HSDM.
In partnership with HMS, department administrators, chairs, and faculty, we aim to be a central resource within the School, ensuring that all faculty members are well-informed about the extensive resources available at Harvard University and within the Longwood Medical community to support their work and professional goals.
