Faculty Group Practice transition
HSDM has reached an agreement with a private dental practice that plans to reopen a dental clinic at 114 Mount Auburn Street under new ownership.
The new practice will operate independently of Harvard University and Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
To support continuity of care, existing treatment plans, patient records, insurance participation, and payment arrangements will continue in accordance with the transition agreement. Former patients will receive communications directly from the new practice with additional details regarding its anticipated September opening.

The Faculty Group Practice will continue to accept new patients throughout the transition. Existing patients will continue to receive care at our Longwood location until the new Cambridge practice opens, and existing appointments will continue as scheduled. Patients with appointments extending beyond the transition period will receive additional information from the new practice regarding confirmation and scheduling. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.

Existing patient records, clinical notes, treatment plans, and X-rays will transfer under a Medical Records Custody Transfer Agreement to support continuity of care.
Patients may continue to access available information through the patient portal during the transition period.
Questions about insurance coverage, payment plans, or outstanding balances are addressed in the Patient FAQ.
Existing insurance participation and payment arrangements will continue in accordance with the transition agreement. The acquiring organization has agreed to accept current insurance contracts and honor existing treatment plans that extend beyond the transition date.
