Dean William Giannobile recently named Kate Ellis Rezendes as Chief of Staff at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). In this new role within the Dean’s Office, Rezendes will work closely with HSDM’s leadership team and the dean to oversee the daily and long-term activities of the office and partner across the organization with faculty, staff, and administration, to advance the School’s mission and strategic priorities.
Additionally, she will oversee the administrative and budgetary functions of the office and streamline operations, scheduling, and project management, as well as lead event planning for Schoolwide meetings, and other internal and external largescale events.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Kate. I know that she will bring a high level of organization and professionalism to this vital role,” Dean Giannobile said.
Rezendes begins her role at HSDM on March 15, 2021. She brings great depth and breadth of experience from serving in higher education senior staff roles, most recently working alongside leadership at Brown University’s School of Public Health as Assistant Director of Dean's Initiatives and Special Projects. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Suffolk University.
"It is an honor to serve HSDM in this capacity as Chief of Staff. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Dean Giannobile, the leadership team, and the entire HSDM community to advance our mission and help to drive key priorities forward,” Rezendes said.
