HSDM students Morgane Amat and Tiffany Chien (DMD 2019 candidates) and their HMS teammates George Agyapong and Jun Liu (MD 2019 candidates) were recently awarded an Agents of Change grant for their project Interventions in Family Oriented Optimal Diet for Development (iFOODD) which aims to spread awareness of nutrition and oral health in families that have children with special needs.
The Harvard Longwood Campus community is helping families in need by participating in the Phillips Brooks House holiday gift drive. The drive will run from Nov. 18 through December 16. The goal is to provide books, games, toys, art supplies and sports equipment to children in need. Faculty, staff and students are invited to donate new, unopened gifts for children of preschool through high-school age.
Collection box locations for both the food and toy drives will be at the following locations:
The Harvard Longwood Campus community will be hosting a food drive starting on Nov. 7 and running through Nov. 18. Well-marked donation boxes will be located throughout the three Longwood Campus schools. The boxes will be collected on the last day of the food drive.

The Good Life: How strong relationships impact our health, happiness and communities
The Season of Giving celebrates the good work and the goodwill of those within our community by offering you the opportunity to send messages of appreciation to colleagues who have enriched your work experience through good deeds and small kindnesses. It also offers us all the opportunity to support our Boston area neighbors in need.

The special Grand Rounds panel discussion "Local Efforts to Combat the Opioid Epidemic," led by U.S. Surgeon General Vivek H. Murthy, is full and there are no longer seats available. Mindfulness for a new year and a new you

A $1.2 million cooperative agreement from Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will fund an innovative new program and partnership between the two universities that focuses on serving the primary care and oral health care needs of Boston area patients and their families.
