Interview Process

Interviews are by invitation only. Candidates who are invited to interview will have a virtual first round interview. Some candidates will be invited for a second round interview at a later date. Second round interviews will be held virtually or in-person (candidates's choice).  Candidates who are invited to a first round interview will be sent a supplemental application to complete in advance of their first interview. Note: the supplemental application is not available on our website. 

2024-2025 Interview Schedule

  • Most interviews in the fall will have two rounds of interviews (first round, virtual; second round, virtual or in-person). These will be on different dates.
  • In the spring, most interviews will be held on the same day (virtually only).

First Round Virtual Interviews Will Include:

  • Orientation with a current student and the Director of Admissions 
  • One, 1:1 conversational interview with a member of the Admissions Committee

Second Round Interviews Will be Held Virtually or In-person (Candidate's Choice) and include: 

  • A second, 1:1 conversational interview with a member of the Admissions Committee
  • Lunch and a tour with current students (in-person interviews only)
  • A current student panel (virtually only) 
  • A financial aid session (virtually only) 

Note: Candidates who have a virtual second round interview will be invited to an Admitted Student Day which includes a lunch and tour with current students.

Interviews are considered an essential part of the admissions process and provide the candidate with the opportunity to articulate their knowledge and experience, suitability for the program, and potential contribution to the field of dentistry. Interviews are intended to be conversational. Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with faculty, alumni, students and staff during their visit.
