Linda Bisconti, department administrator for HSDM’s Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences (RDBS), has been named a 2023 Harvard Hero. The Harvard Heroes program celebrates the accomplishments of Harvard staff University-wide whose work supports the mission of Harvard at the highest levels of contribution, impact, and excellence. Being named a Harvard Hero is an honor of distinction.
Bisconti joined HSDM in 2019. In her role as an administrator, she works closely with faculty and colleagues coordinating activities across one of the largest departments at HSDM. Her nominators described her as “an innovation-driven administrator who seeks excellence at all levels.” Bisconti was responsible for the digitalization of many systems in RDBS that are instrumental to the department’s operations. She modernized processes making more operations paperless and seamless.
Bisconti is also described as a “go-to person for her peers at HSDM.” She is responsible for proposing and launching a HSDM Department Administrators working group that resulted in significant improvements to processes and communication among different units at HSDM.
“She elevates all of us by bringing us closer to each other as a team,” her nominators said.
“I am extremely honored to receive this recognition from those who have contributed so much support and encouragement to my experience at HSDM,” Bisconti said. “Without you my success would not be possible.”
Bisconti, along with other Harvard Heroes selected from across the University, will be recognized in an awards ceremony hosted by President Larry Bacow on Friday, June 9, 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall, Sanders Theatre.
