Freeman, Grant, Franklin Scholarship
Purpose: The Freeman, Grant, Franklin Scholarship supports underrepresented minority students with financial need pursuing their predoctoral (DMD) program at HSDM.
History: HSDM led the way in promoting diversity in dentistry, being the first dental school in the nation to accept African-American students. This scholarship honors three key African American figures in the School's history—Robert Tanner Freeman, DMD1869; George Franklin Grant, DMD1870; and Dolores Mercedes Franklin, DMD1974. The scholarship, awarded annually, was activated in January 2021 with a capstone gift from Colgate-Palmolive Company.

Robert R. White, DMD, Endodontics Fellowship
Purpose: The Robert R. White, DMD, Endodontics Fellowship provides financial aid to students pursuing advanced training in the field of endodontics.
History: The award honors Dr. Robert R. White, a respected educator, with over 42 years of experience in dentistry, and mentor to numerous postdoctoral endodontic students

Walter and Betty Guralnick Scholarship
Purpose: The Walter and Betty Guralncik Scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Walter Guralnick and his wife, Betty, and provides tuition remission to predoctoral dental students.
History: Dr. Guralnick has made significant contributions to dentistry and has been a source of inspiration and guidance for many dental students.

Student Emergency Fund
Purpose: The Student Emergency Fund provides temporary financial assistance to students facing unexpected situations that may impact their ability to continue their education.
Eligibility: The fund supports students in degree programs experiencing personal or family emergencies, crises, or high medical expenses.
