Current-Use Funds: 

HSDM Annual Fund

+ This current-use fund provides vital, unrestricted funds that support the School’s top priorities. Most funds are used to augment need-based financial aid for DMD students and merit-based financial aid for AGE students. 

HSDM Financial Aid Fund

+This current-use fund supports need-based financial aid for DMD students and merit-based financial aid for AGE students. 

HSDM Program Support Fund

+ This current-use fund directly supports specialty programs. Please specify which specialty program you are supporting when making a gift to this fund. 

Harvard Dental Center Gift Fund

+ This current-use fund supports the operations of the Harvard Dental Center

Global and Community Oral Health Fund

+ This current-use fund supports the work of the Office of Global and Community Oral Health.  

Student Emergency Assistance Fund

+ This current-use fund provides emergency assistance to students experiencing extraordinary circumstances. 

 

Endowed Funds: 

Chester W. Douglass Fellowship Fund

+ This fund named after former faculty Dr. Chester W. Douglass supports a DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree, who is conducting post-doctoral/advanced graduate education work toward a degree or specialty training in dental public health, oral health policy or oral epidemiology and engaged in community service, academic teaching and/or research. 

Donoff Scholars DMD Scholarship 

+ This fund named after former Dean R. Bruce Donoff DMD67 provides financial aid to deserving students in the predoctoral, DMD program of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, who are also pursuing a second graduate degree at Harvard University. 

Fellowship in Periodontology

+ This fund supports the direct and indirect expenses of an AGE residents' study of periodontology. 

Freeman, Grant, Franklin Scholarship

+ This fund named after Robert Tanner Freeman DMD1869, George Franklin Grant DMD1870, and Dolores Mercedes Franklin DMD74 and supports a student conducting predoctoral work toward a DMD degree, with a preference of a student underrepresented in medicine or those exhibiting financial need. 

I. Leon Dogon Student Travel Fund

+ This fund named after former faculty I. Leon Dogon DMD63 provides short-term support for predoctoral students to travel for approximately one month. Preference will be given to fourth-year students or those at the end of their third 

Lash-Williams-Howell-Stevens Periodontology Fellowship Support Fund

+ Together with his late wife, Joan Lash, Dr. Howard Howell PD76, AM98, and Jeff Stevens, the late Ray Williams established the Lash-Williams-Howell-Stevens Fund for Periodontology Fellowship Support for periodontology students at HSDM. 

Laure Lebret Orthodontics Fund 

+ This fund named after former faculty member Laure Lebret (DEGREE?) supports an orthodontics residents' scholarly activities which include, but are not limited to research, conference travel, Orthodontic Continuing Education courses, and various other academic resident needs. 

Paul Goldhaber Award

+ The Paul Goldhaber Award is presented annually to an individual of distinction who is held in the highest international esteem in his or her field relating to oral and systemic health and is current in making novel and innovative contributions to dental medicine, science, and patient care. 

Robert R. White DMD, Endodontics Fellowship Fund

+ This fund named after Dr. Robert R. White provides financial aid to deserving residents in the Endodontics specialty of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine's Advanced Graduate Education (AGE) program. 

Walter and Betty Guralnick Scholarship

+ This scholarship named after former Dean Walter Gurlanick DMD41 and his wife Betty is awarded to a third-year or fourth-year student conducting predoctoral work toward a degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with preference given to a student who has demonstrated an interest in oral public health.
