Recent HSDM Faculty Promotions Announced

Dean William Giannobile recently announced the promotion of three Harvard School of Dental Medicine faculty members serving at affiliated hospitals. Their new academic appointments became effective on March 1, 2021.

"Please join me in congratulating the following faculty members who have been recently promoted. I am very grateful to these individuals for their continued service to HSDM as dedicated educators and clinicians," Dean Giannobile said.

Dr. Zach PeacockZachary Peacock, DMD04, MD, has been promoted to Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Peacock is an alumnus of HSDM and an attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where he is also co-director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at MGH for Children and Shriner's Hospital for Children, Boston. In 2020, he was the recipient of the HMS/HSDM Excellence in Mentoring Award.

Rosalyn Sulyanto, DMD11, MS, has been promoted to Assistant Professor of Developmental Biology. Dr. Sulyanto is an alumna of HSDM and a pediatric dentist in the Department of Dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research interests include pediatric oral microbiology and prevention, and management of caries.
 

Richard John Tannyhill, MD, DDS, has been promoted to Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Tannyhill is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). His clinical interests include surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea, wisdom tooth surgery, dental implant surgery, reconstructive surgery of the jaws, and facial trauma in athletes.
