Abstract: 

This session will discuss the current host-modulatory therapies in treating periodontitis. Focusing on the immune therapy approaches, such as cytokine inhibitors, NSAIDs, and specialized pro-resolving mediators.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the rationale of using host-modulatory therapy (HMT) to treat periodontitis
  2. Get familiarized with the current randomized clinical trials of HMT and what these trials are targeting
  3. Understand the indications and limitations of HMT

Tuition: $69/1 ADA CERP credit hour
