Samantha Jordan

Dr. Samantha Jordan is the Dental Director of MassHealth, the Massachusetts Medicaid and CHIP program. Dr. Jordan is a board-certified dental public health specialist with clinical leadership and state-level policy experience. Her work focuses on advancing health justice through policy that ensures equitable, accessible and affordable oral health care and health outcomes for all in Massachusetts.

Dr. Jordan practices as a general dentist at the Alliance Dental Center in Quincy, MA (the incubator clinic for value-based oral health care for the Massachusetts Public Employees Fund). Prior to her current roles, she served as the Oral Health Director at Health Care For All in Boston, MA (a long-standing consumer advocacy organization in Massachusetts) and Chief of Dental at Lowell Community Health Center in Lowell, MA (an FQHC with an integrated, culturally responsive oral health program to expand much-needed access to high-quality, affordable oral health care).

 

Dr. Jordan earned her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Certificate in Dental Public Health from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In addition, she trained at the National Institutes of Health as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellow.

Dr. Jordan has won numerous honors and awards, including the James M. Dunning Award for Overall Achievement in Research Training in Public Health Dentistry, the Herschel S. Horowitz scholarship from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, the Tufts Presidential Award for Citizenship and Public Service, and the MassHealth Access Program scholarship.
