Dr. Reshma Menon
Dr. Reshma S. Menon is a lecturer in the department of Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Sri Ramachandra University in India. Pursuing her interest in oral diagnostic sciences, she earned a certificate from New York University College of Dentistry after a fellowship year in oral medicine and orofacial pain. She completed her postgraduate training at HSDM and was awarded a certificate in oral and maxillofacial pathology and Doctor of Medical Sciences in oral biology. During her residency, she received the prestigious James H. Shaw award from HSDM and the Gorlin award from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP). Later the same year, she earned the status of diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She currently serves on the fellowship committee of the AAOMP.
Fields of interest:
Dr. Menon’s academic and research interests are focused around oral premalignancy and cancer. She is currently pursuing research on signaling pathways in oral squamous cell carcinoma. In addition, she continues to author manuscripts and mentor dental students in research projects in the field of oral and maxillofacial pathology and medicine.
