Dr. Monina Klevens
Lecturer on Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology, Part-time
Dr. Klevens is currently the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1988, completed a residency in Dental Public Health at Harvard in 1991, and became a Diplomate in Dental Public Health in 1995. Her career in infectious diseases epidemiology started in the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service program and included immunization, HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and healthcare- associated infections. She has published and lectured in the US and abroad, is a member of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America and a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
