Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Masoud
Dr. Mohamed I. Masoud was born in Fairfax, VA. He completed his orthodontic specialty training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in 2006 and earned his Doctorate degree from the same institution the following year. Dr. Masoud then went on to become diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
During his years as a resident, Dr. Masoud was awarded the HSDM Joseph Henry award for clinical and research excellence and the prestigious Harry Sicher Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontics for his work on several research projects. He taught part time at HSDM between 2007 and 2010 and full time in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between 2007 and 2011. He then went on to become the clinic director at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Masoud served as the Program Director of the Advanced Graduate Education Program in Orthodontics, HSDM from 2013 through 2020. His current research focuses on using new imaging technology, including 3D photogrammetry, in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. His work has been published and presented at national and international meetings.
Dr. Masoud has many interests outside of Orthodontics. He enjoys painting, sailing, underwater photography, and squash.
