Dr. Mercedes Elena Mata
Lecturer on Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology, Part-time
Dr. Mata grew up in the city of Caracas, Venezuela where she attended Dental School at the Santa Maria University earning her DMD in 2003.
From there she completed her Post-Doctoral Program in Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry from Boston University in 2008. Following her belief in giving back to the community, Dr. Mata she has been working at Charles River Community Health for the past 15 years. Dr. Mata has served as a clinical faculty member at NYU LMC,
Department of Dental Medicine, NY 2008-2018 and Harvard Dental School, Boston, MA since 2008.
