Dr. Kathryn Ferrante received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Wake Forest where she graduated cum laude.  Her passion for the biological sciences inspired her to further her studies at New York University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Oral Biology with the highest honors.  During her time at NYU, Dr. Ferrante taught undergraduate biology laboratory courses, researched oral biofilms under her mentor Dr. Simone Duarte, and assisted in the predoctoral dental clinic. Dr. Ferrante continued her studies at Tufts University where she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (cum laude).  While at Tufts, she performed research with her mentor Dr. Driss Zoukhri on dry mouth and dry eye syndrome cellular biology.  She also mentored, tutored, and was a teaching assistant in the dental clinics, continuing education department, and medicine department.

After completing her academic degrees, Dr. Ferrante began her dental career in Waltham and Watertown.  Following her private practice experience, she was welcomed into the Harvard community where she served the Harvard University Health Services for three years.  Dr. Ferrante continues her general dentistry practice with Harvard Dental Center Cambridge and is honored to continue serving Harvard and surrounding communities. Dr. Ferrante is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. 

Fields of Interest

Dr. Ferrante has a special interest in general dentistry, comprehensive care, and patient education.  She strives to ensure that her patients thoroughly understand their oral health through a teamwork approach between provider and patient.
