Dr. Jason Cummins
Dr. Jason Cummins has dedicated his career to dentistry, education, and community service. He graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in May 2022. In 2017, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry cum laude from Claflin University.
Having completed an enriching year with Aspen Dental as an Associate Dentist in Augusta and Thomaston, Maine, Dr. Cummins currently serves as a General Dentist at The Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, MA, where he continues to impact positively the health and well-being of the community. He also serves as a part-time faculty member at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) in the Department of Public Health and Community Service, Division of Diversity and Inclusion, where he plays a vital role in TUSDM's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Within this capacity, he collaborates with the Office of Admissions in their outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts.
Dr. Cummins, a native of Barbados, plays a vital role in the Increasing Diversity in Dentistry (IDID) non-profit organization that prepares students to become strong applicants for dental school and encourages a commitment to two years of service in underserved communities. As the Director of Special Events, he contributes to the organization's mission of providing resources for underrepresented students in the dental profession.
Dr. Cummins is an esteemed member of the Tufts University Honos Civicus Society for Civic Engagement and the Robert R. Andrews Research Honor Society. As a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Society and Massachusetts Dental Society, he aims to advocate for positive change in the dental profession and beyond.
