Abstract: The presentation will focus on soft tissue grafting procedures and augmentation around implant sites for the prevention and management of implant biologic and esthetic complications.

The indications and applications of different surgical approaches, soft tissue grafts and their substitutes, as well as biomaterials will be discussed, focusing on reduction of surgical invasiveness, and increasing performance of patient-reported outcomes.

The concept of soft tissue augmentation around dental implants, not only for enhancing esthetics, but also as it relates to health parameters and the overall long-term success of implants will also be highlighted, particularly in the realm of immediate implant therapy.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the treatment of soft tissue deformities around implants and the evolution of surgical procedures in the field with the use of less invasive protocols.
  2. Know how to properly diagnose and identify esthetic and biologic complications with implants and how to prevent them with soft tissue grafting
  3. Understand how to select the most appropriate treatment approach for implant complications
