Abstract: Immediate implant placement following flap dental extraction with healing abutment and soft-tissue displacement has traditionally raised concerns regarding soft tissue recession, limiting its application in the anterior sector for aesthetic purposes. Furthermore, chronic periodontitis continues to be a widespread oral disease worldwide. This webinar aims to address the challenges associated with immediate implant placement, with a specific focus on soft tissue recession and infected post-extraction sites. We will explore the advantages of flapless immediate implant placement, including reduced treatment time, improved patient comfort, minimized need for extensive surgery, decreased treatment costs, and lower morbidity. Moreover, immediate implant placement offers the potential to prevent bone resorption and preserve osseous tissue volume in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. By examining the existing evidence and discussing strategies to overcome potential complications, this webinar endeavors to provide valuable insights for clinicians seeking to implement immediate implant placement effectively. The ultimate goal is to promote wider adoption of this technique in suitable cases, leading to enhanced treatment outcomes, increased patient satisfaction, and overall improvements in oral health.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Write diagnostic and treatment planning in immediate implant placement
  2. Evaluate different techniques in the immediate implant placement approach
  3. Understand the advantages of partial tooth extraction techniques before dental implantation
  4. Understand the advantages of laser beam and Microsurgical Laser Therapy (MLT) in flap and flapless approach
