Description:

Class III and Open Bite malocclusions are regarded as the most challenging malocclusion types in orthodontics. Correcting these malocclusions requires fundamental knowledge of the etiology and proper diagnosis. Additionally, clinicians commonly look for evidence-based and predictable means of delivering proper mechanotherapy and utilizing practical treatment tools in these malocclusions. As times change, contemporary options replace conventional therapies, including temporary anchorage devices (TADs), aligners, and customized 3D-printed appliances. Therefore, the course aims to provide the audience with the latest trends in treatment strategies supported by clinical evidence and fundamental principles required for Class III and open bite treatment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop efficient treatment objectives for Class III and open bite cases.
  2. Familiarize themselves with the latest trends in Class III and open bite correction.
  3. Compare and contrast classic vs. modern approaches to both malocclusions.
  4. Analyze the treatment outcomes from an evidence-based perspective.
