On Wednesday, March 8th at 12-noon in the REB Auditorium, our Lunch and Learn series will be in full swing with Dr. Huong Le presenting on matters of health equity, dental care, and behavioral health. As a community, HSDM will have the opportunity to come together to learn and engage in thoughtful discussion around these important topics with an international expert on mental health and wellness in dentistry.

Against great odds, in 1975 a teenager and her family boarded the last boat that barely escaped the chaos unfolding in war ravaged Saigon. It has been with the same courage and vision that has defined Dr. Huong Le’s passion and commitment to creating a brighter future for those less fortunate. At AHS, Dr. Le led the opening of the first stand-alone dental and wellness center, which combines providing oral health care with screening for behavioral health and depression and was recognized by the Assistant Surgeon General as a best practice. Dr. Le’s leadership has been instrumental in making AHS the first dental clinic in the state to have a Dental and Behavioral Health program with four specialties.
