HSDM will welcome Harvard University’s Muslim Chaplain, Khalil Abdur-Rashid who will lead a discussion on considerations for patients observing Ramadan. This year, Ramadan is predicted to start on the evening of March 22nd and will be observed by a number of individuals in the community. During Thursday’s Lunch and Learn session, the HSDM Community can look forward to learning together about helpful ways we can support members of the community for whom this holiday is observed by fasting.
Khalil Abdur-Rashid, DLS, Muslim Chaplain at Harvard University
Imam Dr. Khalil Abdur-Rashid is the first full-time University Muslim Chaplain at Harvard University, Instructor of Muslim Studies at Harvard Divinity School, and Public Policy Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He serves all Muslim students at Harvard, supervises the staff of the Harvard University Office of the Chaplain and also serves on the Board of Religious, Spiritual and Ethical Life at Harvard.
