We are honored to have Dr. Nicole Cheek, the 2024 president of the National Dental Association, deliver the keynote address, setting the tone for a week of insightful discussions and meaningful connections.

Keynote Speaker

DrCheekDr. Nicole Cheek is a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry and has been actively involved in dentistry since her student days, notably receiving a commendation from the Maryland governor for her participation in the Deamonte Driver Dental Project. She practices general dentistry in Washington, DC, and is also involved with the NDA's NDA-HEALTH NOW® program, focusing on community outreach, and has made numerous visits to Capitol Hill to advocate for oral health for the underserved.

Her contributions to dental health are recognized through publications in the American Journal of Public Health and Oral Health in America: Removing the Stain of Disparity. Cheek has received multiple accolades, including the NDA Presidential Special Recognition Award (2019), the Colgate New Dentist Leadership Award (2020), and the NDA 40 Under 40 Award (2022). She also graduated from the ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership (2022).

Cheek currently serves as the president of the National Dental Association and secretary of the Howard University College of Dentistry Alumni Association, with past roles in the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society. She holds memberships in the Jamaica Dental Association and The Links, Incorporated, underscoring her commitment to both professional excellence and community service.
