This October Is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, & ADHD Awareness Month. With that in mind we will be offering a Diverse Perspectives in Dentistry lecture with Dr. Tien Jiang on working with patients that are afflicted by Mental Health Conditions. The Diverse Perspectives in Dentistry series aims to build and strengthen our community by offering opportunities to learn more about:

1) The remarkable individuals that make up the oral health profession

2) The important work being done in oral medicine and intersecting health fields

We are excited to share that Dr. Dr. Tien Jiang will be our keynote speaker for this month’s event.

Dr. Tien Jiang is an instructor in the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology (OHPE) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) where she provides expertise in education and prosthodontics. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Jiang teaches in the predoctoral pre-clinic and clinic and practices at Zwell Dental in Littleton, MA.

Dr. Jiang’s interests include interprofessional education and practice, health literacy, patient education, and curriculum reform.

Dr. Jiang earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at HSDM. Afterward, she moved to the Midwest to specialize in Prosthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Dr. Jiang also completed a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership at UIC College of Education.
