Join the Division of Periodontology for the seventh Clinical Lecture Series event, "Esthetic and Functional Crown Lengthening," on Tuesday, January 12, featuring Dr. Emilio Argüello. The management of a gummy smile has been well-documented throughout literature, and a patient's perception and desire for an ideal smile may prompt patients to seek dental care. In this lecture, the elements for managing an esthetic outcome of the patient smile through periodontal crown lengthening, gingivectomy or lip repositioning will be discussed.
At the end of the presentation participants will be able to:
- Determine the parameters of success and case selection for esthetic crown lengthening, gingivectomy and lip repositioning
- Understand the step-by-step surgical approach for esthetic crown lengthening, gingivectomy and lip repositioning
