Abstract: Continuing Education addressing the unique needs of the aging population is underrepresented. As the adult population ages exponentially and their medical and oral health needs become more complex, this series of courses is essential for the general practitioner to incorporate special considerations for restorative treatment from door to chair. Our speakers have first-hand experience of both how to address the needs of older adults and how to design treatment plans to promote longer-lasting, appropriate oral healthcare.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Aging population demographics - focus on caring for vulnerable older adults
  2. Descibe dental management vs. dental treatment: a framework of care for older adults
  3. Palliative care practices
