Abstract: Oral candidiasis a common, yet misunderstood disease of the oral cavity. Oral candidiasis is often considered at the exclusion of other more common entities. This presentation will clarify the most common clinical patterns of oral candidiasis and present other disease entities with similar symptomology and clinical appearance.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the most common clinical patterns of oral candidiasis
  2. Describe the various ways candidiasis can be diagnosed
  3. Describe the various treatment options for oral candidiasis
  4. Identify other oral disease entities whose signs and symptoms are similar to oral candidiasis
