Prosthodontics

Advanced specialty training in prosthodontics, research, and academic leadership

The Advanced Graduate Program in Prosthodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine is a three-year specialty program leading to a Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) degree in oral biology and a certificate in prosthodontics. An optional four-year Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree is available for those pursuing academic or research careers.

This comprehensive prosthodontics residency integrates advanced clinical training with a strong foundation in biological sciences, research methodology, and scholarly development. Residents refine clinical judgment, technical precision, and interdisciplinary treatment planning skills essential for specialty practice and academic leadership.

Graduates meet the educational requirements for certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics and are prepared for careers in specialty clinical practice, research, and academic dentistry.
