Dr. Soo-Woo Kim
Dr. Soo-Woo Kim received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and completed his periodontology training and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in oral biology at the same institution. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Kim is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Mentors Award and Dean’s Community Service Award from Harvard Medical School. He was selected as a Presidential Scholar from Harvard University and has received the AAP Educator Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and the Young Investigator Award from the International Association of Dental Research. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Kim’s primary research interest is in hard and soft tissue augmentation around teeth and dental implants. Additionally, he is interested in using a behavioral approach to understand patient compliance and treatment acceptance. Another area of his interest is introducing effective educational methodologies.
