Meet HSDM’s Newest Senior Tutors

The Office of Dental Education welcomed two new Senior Tutors this year, Dr. Aram Kim and Dr. Armando Pardo. Both are Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) graduates.

Dr. Kim received her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley in bioengineering, and her DMD from HSDM. She completed her advanced graduate training at University of Illinois at Chicago, receiving a Masters of Science in Oral Biology, and a Certificate in Prosthodontics. Before she joined HSDM, she was an assistant professor at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she taught predoctoral students.

“I feel privileged to join the Senior Tutors Office during this most exciting time with the new curriculum for our DMD students, Dr. Kim said. “With my background in engineering and prosthodontics, I am interested in applying a patient-centered approach and new technology in predoctoral education, and optimizing the student and faculty experience in electronic record systems.”

Dr. Armando Pardo attended HSDM as an advance standing student obtaining his DMD in 2015. He obtained a BDS from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art. He has been working as a general dentist in Barcelona, Spain for 12 years where his practice focused on comprehensive dentistry. He obtained a Certificate in Implant Dentistry from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, and received a recognition award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Pardo is interested in art and science as two disciplines closely related in dentistry. He is focused on aesthetic dentistry and implant dentistry, as well as teaching comprehensive dentistry.
