Losing a Legend: HSDM Mourns the Loss of Walter C. Guralnick

Walter C. Guralnick, DMD41, a pioneer in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery education who served Harvard for more than seven decades, died Wednesday, September 6 at the age of 100. Dr. Guralnick was a mentor and friend to many at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and had a lasting impact in the lives and careers of the School’s students and faculty.

HSDM Singer Knocks It out of the Ballpark

Martha Vedrine, staff assistant in the Office of Dental Education recently sang the National Anthem at the opening of the Red Sox game on Labor Day, September 4, 2017.

Vedrine was selected to represent the Harvard Union of Clerical and Technical Workers (HUCTW) during Union Night at Fenway Park. After sending taped recordings of her performances to the Red Sox she was officially given the honor of singing at the revered ballpark.
