Abstract:
Pulp and periapical tissues will be presented briefly. The lecturer will try to associate the factors that induce pulp and periapical tissue damage with the ability of tissues to respond to various insults. Preventive and therapeutic aspects of pulp therapy and endodontic procedures will be meshed with a biological background. Some non-traditional approaches based on translational research will be pointed out to stimulate critical thinking and to value basic knowledge.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Appreciate the main components of dental pulp and periapical tissues
- Integrate the knowledge with clinical situations in Dentistry and Endodontics
- Understand classical and non-traditional approaches considering the main inflammatory/degenerative situations affecting dental pulp and periradicular tissues
- Understand how to shift the timeline of design to create more leverage in digital workflows.
- Understand key elements for realistic interdisciplinary planning.
