Join the fourth lecture in our Clinical Lecture Series from the Division of Periodontology, titled "Current Soft Tissue Grafting Technique in Esthetic Dentistry," on Tuesday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m with Edward P. Allen, DDS, PhD. Soft tissue grafting techniques have become less invasive with the development of the tunnel technique and the use of alternatives to palatal tissue. These advances have resulted in improved esthetics, a more pleasant experience for the patient and thus greater acceptance of treatment. This lecture will illustrate soft tissue grafting at sites complicated by cervical lesions and/or exposed crown margins. Guidelines will be presented for determining when to restore and when to graft. The course costs $60 and is worth one American Dental Association credit.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the advantages of the tunnel technique
  2. Discuss the indications for grafting or restoring cervical lesions
  3. Discuss the use of soft tissue grafting in esthetic dentistry
