Man Wai Ng Elected to AAPD Board
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the leading authority on children’s oral health, inducted the new president and other officers and trustees for the its Board of Trustees during its 67th Annual Session at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Mass., on May 25, 2014. Man Wai Ng, DDS, MPH, an HSDM assistant professor of developmental biology (pediatric dentistry), was elected as director of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Ng is chief of the Department of Dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital. She received her DDS from Stony Brook University, her MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health, and her certificate in pediatric dentistry from Boston Children’s Hospital. She has been a member of the AAPD since 1992 and is a national spokesperson. Ng has served on the AAPD Board of Trustees as the District I Trustee and has served as chair of the Council on Scientific Affairs and the Council on Postdoctoral Education. She received her ABPD certification in 1997.
