Appreciation Dinner Speaker Featured in Harvard Magazine

Dimitar Sasselov, a Harvard astronomer who was the keynote speaker at HSDM's Appreciation Dinner in April, is featured in the current issue of Harvard Magazine. The article focuses on his research at the intersection of biochemistry and astrophysics as director of the Harvard Origins of Life Initiative. Sasselov and his colleagues are seeking to discover how life emerges from particular environmental and chemical conditions—the subject of his talk at HSDM.

HSDM holds an Appreciation Dinner every April to celebrate and honor the School's most loyal donors. Past speakers have included stem cell researcher Dr. George Q. Daley and futurist Juan Enriquez, a leading authority on the economic and political impacts of the life sciences.
