Linda P. Nelson, DMD, MScD
Dr. Nelson specializes in treating children with special needs, medically compromised children, and pediatric dentistry. She received her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1977 and her MScD from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in 1979 during her residency there. She is board certified in pediatric dentistry. A clinical assistant professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Nelson is director of the Advanced Graduate Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry for the School.
Dr. Nelson has more than 25 years of experience treating children with special needs-15 of them at Children’s Hospital Boston. Her interest in the field was sparked from her work at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center in Waltham, Mass., during her residency at Boston University Medical Center. In 2005, she received the Weiner Award from Children’s Hospital Boston, which recognizes “outstanding individuals who demonstrate commitment, leadership, and potential for success in helping improve the health of children.”
