Information for International Applicants

Candidates who have earned the equivalent of a DMD/DDS degree outside of the United States are eligible to apply for Advanced Graduate Education (AGE) Programs at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Applicants are required to submit the same documents as US candidates including the ADEA Post-Doctoral Support Service (PASS) application and the HSDM Advanced Graduate Education (AGE) Supplemental Application (where applicable). Applicants may apply to only one program. Applications to multiple programs will be returned.

Standardized Examinations/Official Scores

Beginning with the 2015 application cycle, the AGE programs at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine now require or strongly recommend that international applicants submit scores from the National Board Dental Exam (NBDE) Part I, Part II or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) in additional to the TOEFL as part of the application process. Submission of scores of these examinations will enhance consideration for admission. Specific information for each program may be found on the program Application Information page. Please review your program's Application Information page carefully to fulfill all requirements.

TOEFL REQUIREMENT: Proficiency in English is required for admission to all programs.

HSDM Guidelines: Applicants whose native language is other than English are required to submit a recent TOEFL score. Minimum acceptable score for admission to Harvard AGE programs is 95 on internet-based test with subcategory score minimums of Written 25, Spoken 24, Reading 21, Listening 17. Scores on the four sections should not vary significantly.
