Information for International Applicants
All AGE programs at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine are open to international applicants who have earned the equivalent of a DMD/DDS degree.
International applicants are required to submit the same documents as US candidates, including the ADEA PASS application and the HSDM supplemental application. Links may be found on the Application Information page for each program.
Applicants may apply to only one program. Applications to multiple programs will not be reviewed.
Standardized Examinations/Official Scores
Many of the AGE programs at HSDM require or strongly recommend that all applicants submit scores from the NBDE Part I. Specific information for each program may be found on the program Application Information page. Please review your program's Application Information page carefully to fulfill all requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency in English is required for admission to all AGE programs.
Any applicant whose native language is not English is required to submit TOEFL scores from a test taken within the past two years. The minimum acceptable overall score is 95, with subcategory score minimums of Reading 21, Listening 17, Speaking 24, and Writing 25.
Scores should be sent directly to the AGE Office of Admissions from ETS. HSDM’s institution code is 3430.
International applicants must submit their official transcripts to PASS, along with a certified translation from either Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Educational Service (WES). Applicants should send transcripts for all educational programs attended.
All applicants are required to send a non-refundable check or money order in the amount of USD $75 (drawn on a US bank) payable to Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The applicant’s name and program should be clearly marked on the check or money order. Cash and credit cards are not accepted.
