Admissions Requirements

All applicants are required to have at least a bachelor’s degree in order to apply for the DMD program. Applications will be considered for students completing their final year of an undergraduate degree. Candidates are required to take the following courses as a prerequisite for admission:

* Credit hours assume a 4 credit course/semester. Students from universities operating on different credit-hour systems are required to complete the equivalent of two full semesters.

**Mathematical Skills/Computational Science literacy is essential for a career in the health sciences. One semester of calculus is required. This requirement may be fulfilled by one or two semesters of calculus or one semester of calculus and one semester of statistics (preferably biostatistics).

Applicants are encouraged to major in a field of their interest during college so long as they complete the required pre-requisite courses. The Admissions Committee believes that a diverse student body will contribute to a well-rounded class and a vibrant learning environment.
